About WP SecureGate

WP SecureGate is a WordPress security plugin built and supported by TheDevGarden, a software studio in Bangladesh.

Why we built it

We build and look after WordPress and WooCommerce shops for clients, and kept meeting the same attacks: password guessing, card testing at checkout, spam accounts, and plugins that had quietly gone bad. WP SecureGate is the plugin we wanted for those sites: one licence that covers the firewall, malware scanner, login protection, WooCommerce checkout protection and the rest, with settings that are safe by default and plain about what each one does.

How it is run

The plugin runs on your server. Licences, signed updates and the threat data the plugin uses (the attacker list, the vulnerability feed, country data) come from our own servers, which we run ourselves. Payments are handled by our reseller, Dodo Payments, as the terms explain.

What we promise

  • Every feature in every plan

Plans differ only in how many sites they cover. Nothing is held back for a higher tier. See the plans.

  • A 7-day refund on any charge

Renewals included, no questions asked. The details are in the refund policy.

  • Signed updates

Every release is signed, and the plugin checks the signature before it installs an update, so a tampered download is refused. How signed updates work.

  • Plain about what leaves your site

The privacy policy lists each thing the plugin sends to our servers, why, and for how long it is kept.

  • Open to security reports

Found a flaw in the plugin or this site? Our disclosure policy says how to report it and what we do next.

  • Free software licence

The plugin’s code is licensed under the GPL, version 2 or later, like WordPress itself.
